A Glimpse Into My First Apartment

Talk about a trip down memory lane.

I happen to find these images as I was cleaning out some of Facebook albums and thought it would be fun (and hilarious) to share with you my first apartment that I rented in Toronto.

I found this little one bedroom apartment on Kijiji and it was a completely disaster. There was one girl who had lived there for many years who appeared to collect quite a bit of stuff and had run out of room to store it so the porch was completely full. She owned about 3 cats and their fur was EVERYWHERE! But, I saw the potential. The old home was the last one on the street and was a stones throw from Lake Ontario. The unit was on the second floor and located in a residential area on the west end of Toronto near so many amazing venues. I was able to walk to concerts, festivals, the subway, trails and the water. It may the best best location I’ve ever lived in next to this current home.

I had very little money so spending $800 a month was a huge undertaking at that time plus I needed everything. Like, EVERYTHING! Ikea was my go to of course and I found a few pieces from Home Sense and some local specialty shops.,

I absolutely loved that little 800 square foot apartment and have some fun memories from my time there.

What was your first apartment like? I would love to hear your stories!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry for the poor image quality, these were taken a long time ago and copied from my personal Facebook page.
