Signs It's Time For A Brand Refresh

I’m often asked by a client whether I think they need a brand refresh and I answer their question with more questions. Helpful, right? ;) Actually it is, for both of us. These are the questions that should be asked when deciding if it’s time.

TARGET AUDIENCE OR FOCUS

During brand conception your target audience should be top of mind when determining everything from colour, fonts, brand voice, etc. they should all be designed to attract your ideal client.

If your palette, fonts, logos, brand voice were designed on the whim without your potential client in mind it’s likely time to engage a pro.

YOUR AUDIENCE, SERVICES OR PRODUCTS HAVE CHANGED

This one may be obvious but still on the list to warrant a refresh.

CONSISTENCY

If you find all your platforms have a different look and feel or even 1 platform isn’t consistent this is another sign you might need branding.

When you go through a great branding process it is very clear from what colours, fonts, photos to use and your platforms naturally become consistent without too much thought.

YOUR BRAND ISN’T ATTRACTING THE RIGHT CLIENTS

Wonder why all the “wrong” people keep coming? Could be a sign your branding isn’t working.

BACKGROUND ON YOUR LOGO

This could be a result of a few things; you are using the wrong logo file format OR the original logo wasn’t created properly. Let’s get that fixed, asap!
